Scooters Prayer Page
Where friends gather to send Scott their love, support, and prayers...
The reason we are all here... On August 29th, our friend Scott was diagnosed with throat cancer. As we all know, cancer is a disease that has claimed many lives, and has affected millions. This time it has set it's sights on Scott, unaware of the battle that it faces. With the love, support and strength of all his family and friends, (meaning all of you), Scott and CJ intend to beat back this disease. Here is the place we can all gather to send out our prayers and support for Scott and CJ to see, and be strengthened by them.

Saturday Sept 4th, 2010
Scott will not be released today because they need to arrange to have a home heathcare nurse visit him but it cant be arranged because of the holiday weekend. So now it looks like it will be Tuesday before he is released. They are giving him vicodin for his pain now. They have told C.J that she will have to change his trach tube as well.

Sept, 3, 2010 Day after surgery
Scott is doing much, much better this morning. He made sure he could talk so that when C.J got there she could HEAR him tell her he loved her!!! He has been cleared to eat soft foods and soon they will be putting a plug in the trach so that it is easier for him to talk. If all continues to go well he should be released over the weekend. We are all waiting anxiously for the results of the biopsy, so lets keep Scott and C.J in our prayers and continue to give them strength and encouragement. We love you!!

Surgery was successfull, Scott is in recovery...
Well the surgery went good, Scott has his temporary tracheotomy in and the biopsy was taken. He'll be in recovery for the next few hours before they send him back to his room.
*UPDATE* We left around 10pm and he was not too long off from going from his recovery bed and into his room in the ICU ward. It's gonna be a little while before he'll be able to talk, but all in all, he was looking good for a man who just went through surgery.
